The Vince Carter Sanctuary is a residential treatment center, where clinical and psychiatric experts are trained to correctly diagnose and meet the unique needs of patients distressed from the combination of substance abuse and a co-occurring emotional or psychiatric illness.
Upon check in, clients are assessed both clinically and psychologically and assigned to a primary therapist who will guide and support them through the course of their treatment. We feel that individual attention is extremely important for successful recovery, and this is especially important in the case of co-occurring clients, where every situation is unique.
The clinical and psychological staff at the Vince Carter Sanctuary are experienced in treating co-occurring clients. Once a client has been detoxed and stabilized, detailed assessments are performed to confirm the nature of the co-occurring issues to ensure the correct combination of therapies. These therapies are then employed in the treatment process of that particular client. At the end of treatment, our clinical team works with these individual clients to develop a comprehensive co-occurring exit plan to receive ongoing support.
