Pre-Admission & Admissions

The two individuals listed above can help guide you through our pre-admission process. You can be assured that any conversations we have with you will be held in strictest confidence.
During this screening call, we will discuss demographic and clinical information, and do our best to answer questions you may have. If there is a reason we feel that we are not the best treatment center for you, we will provide you with an alternative center that may be a better fit.
The majority of the calls we receive are from family members, friends, employers, and others who are concerned about someone they know who is struggling with a substance abuse problem. Occasionally the calls are from an addict or alcoholic looking for help and seeking available options. Depending on the nature of an initial call, various options are made available by one of these Admissions Specialists.

As an addiction treatment provider, we highly discourage the use of tobacco. We offer a smoking cessation program as part of treatment, allowing tobacco use during specified breaks in a designated area at the onset of treatment as a taper program designed to help with the withdrawal process. After a given time, nicotine replacement therapy is then offered as needed.
If I have special dietary needs can the Vince Carter Sanctuary accommodate this?
Yes, during the admission process we would ask that you please make us aware of any dietary needs. Our Nutritionist and Executive Chef will be able to assist you.
Is drug detox and alcohol detox included in the treatment cost
Yes. As one of the nation's premier treatment providers, detox is provided and is included in the overall cost for the program. Certain withdrawal medications however, which may be prescribed, are not included in the overall cost.
Can I bring my laptop and cell phone to the Vince Carter Sanctuary?
The answer is no for those in the 30-Day program. It is our goal is to have you fully involved in the treatment process without outside interference. For the 90-day program client cell phones and laptops, will be housed under lock and key with the client's primary therapist. Cell phones are permitted solely for the purpose of listening to incoming messages as needed. Limited monitored laptop use is earned after complying with all treatment plans after the initial 30-Days for those clients in the full 90-Day program. We also have computers available for internet and email access.

Other Services:
Interventions & "Sober Escorts"
Transportation arrangements may be handled by our Coordinator of Intake, Intervention & Aftercare. Sometimes the use of third-party services, such as those of an Interventionist or "Sober Escorts", may be considered to aid in the process of getting a struggling addict or alcoholic to our facility.
An Interventionist is a professional who is usually called upon when an addict or alcoholic doesn't want help or feel they need help, but the family, or other loved ones, are in agreement that treatment is absolutely necessary, and together they "intervene" to convince the person to get the help they need.
A "Sober Escort" is someone trained to transport an addict or alcoholic to and from our facility, and is sometimes hired to remain with the person immediately upon discharge from the Sanctuary as part of the initial Aftercare Plan. For further information regarding either of these services, please call Michael Morton at (386) 547-3017.

There is also an executive airport, Flagler County Airport, only 4 Miles from the Sanctuary. If further transportation arrangements need to be made, such as private executive jet travel, train travel, or information regarding nearby hotel accommodations for family or friends of the client, please contact our Michael Morton, Coordinator of Intake, Intervention & Aftercare, at (386) 547-3017.
